Thermoplastic screen materials based on PC-Copolymer are hygroscopic materials. This means that due to their chemical structure they quickly absorb water from the humidity of the ambient air. To counter this phenomenon special aluminium/polyethylene - packaging films and drying agents such as Silica gel are used. Another method is the pre-drying of the sheets in a circulating air oven before further processing.
